Introduction
Effective contract management is essential for ensuring that development projectsare completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed standards.Strong contract management practices help safeguard value for money, promoteaccountability, and minimize the risks of delays, disputes, and cost overruns. They also ensure that contractors, consultants, and implementing agencies fulfill theirresponsibilities as outlined in the contract documents.Contract management plays a critical role in projects supported by developmentpartners such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
